This was a FB post I was actually interested in being tagged. I am a reader and have a certain affinity toward fellow readers. I enjoy creating and engaging in dialog about books. I’m always interested in what other people are reading. I wonder what it was about a book that attracted you to it.

So I was asked to list 10 books that have stayed with me in some way. I’m not to take more than a few minutes and not think too hard. They do not have to be the “right” books or great works of literature, just ones that have affected you in some way. My list is below. What are your 10 books, or 5 books or 1 book?

1. “Homecoming” by Cynthia Voigt
2. “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry
3. “Where the Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak
4. “Waiting to Exhale” by Terry McMillan
5. “Lord of the Flies” by William Golding
6. “Just Go to Bed” by Mercer Mayer
7. “It” by Stephen King
8. “House of Sand and Fog” by Andre Dubus III
9. “Native Son” by Richard Wright
10. “The Other Boleyn Girl” by Philippa Gregory
